I qualified in 1999 at the army school of dental hygiene. I personally feel that the training given to me there was the greatest foundation training available and the attention to detail in dealing with clients was exceptional.
The reason why I became a hygienist all started off with a realisation that i wanted to do something where I could work with people closely but then after both my parent were diagnosed with gum disease, I wondered if i could train to help them.
I really like to get involved in the more complex gum disease and periodontal disease cases, having worked treating advance periodontists for many years and working in specialist practice, I have gained vast amounts of knowledge on how to help people stabalise the health of their gums.
To further increase my knowledge and techniques, I like to read a lot of dental journals and peer review case studies.
At home I have two pet rats called coco and channel. I am a big brother to my little sister and in my spare time, I like to ice skate and ski.
The most famous person I have met has been a footballer but I have met and treated numerous footballer wives. I have also treated various TV actresses but I cannot mention any names.
My favourite movie of all time must be Jaws and a few charities that I support include Shelter as well as Alder-hey Dogs Trust.
