Dr Raphy Paul qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of Trivandrum in 2002. Following this he continued his training as a general dental practitioner and held Senior House Officer positions in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Cardiff. He was awarded the Membership of the Royal College, England in 2006. Subsequent, he worked as a general dental practitioner at Birmingham and during this time he was awarded the Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, England in 2008. Along with his wife Dr Puthri Raphy he set up the St Raphael’s Dental Practice in 2009. Following this he continued his training in Restorative dentistry and completed Certificates in Restorative Dentistry in 2011.
Over the next 3 years he worked in secondary and tertiary (hospital) care settings concentrating on Oral Surgery, Paediatric Dentistry and Special Care Dentistry, in preparation for his specialist training. During this time he also worked in general dental practice on a part-time basis. In 2015, Raphy undertook his post graduate training in Orthodontics at the University of Cork. He is currently preparing for his Royal College exams to become a Specialist Orthodontist.
